Jocelyn Parkhouse
Owner, Honey Hair Co.

Hi! I’m Jocelyn, the proud owner of HONEY HAIR CO., a space that means so much more to me than just hair. With over 10 years of experience behind the chair—and generations of hairstylists and barbers on both sides of my family—this craft has always been a part of who I am. It’s in my hands, my heart, and my roots.

My passion lies in creating soft, dimensional color that enhances your hair’s natural beauty—bringing out the texture, movement, and light that’s already there. But what I truly love most about this work is the connection. Sitting with someone, learning their story, and becoming part of their life in small but meaningful ways. Many of the people who’ve sat in my chair over the years have become dear friends—some feel like family.

Outside the salon, my heart belongs to my three little ones (yes, all under three!). Life is full and beautifully chaotic. You’ll often find us at the beach in Pentwater, baking sourdough, growing tomatoes, snowmobiling in the winter, squeezing in a round of golf and spending time with our LARGE families. 

My hope is that when you step into HONEY HAIR CO., you feel safe, seen, and completely at home. I can't wait to meet you, hear your story, and start a new chapter together—one appointment, and one heartfelt connection, at a time

Hi, I'm Lauren! I've been working behind the chair for about a year and a half, and one of my favorite services to provide is any type of blonding.

On weekends, you’ll find me working weddings, creating stunning bridal hair and makeup looks. When I'm not at the salon or at a wedding, I love spending time with my friends and family.

Some of my favorite hobbies include going to the family cottage, shopping, horseback riding, and making sourdough.

I recently married my amazing husband in November 2024, and we enjoy cooking together, fixing up things around the house, and going on date nights. I’m so excited to meet all the beautiful faces that sit in my chair and help make your hair dreams come true!

Hey, I’m Marki! I’m thrilled to be part of the talented team at Honey Hair Co. I’ve been a hairstylist for 13 years and Im still as passionate about it as ever. I offer a wide variety of  services for all of your Hair or Bridal needs. I’m also certified in Eyelash Extensions, Hair extensions, and airbrush makeup. 

When I’m not in the salon, you can find me cheering on my son at one of his many sports games, loving on my dogs, or thrifting for hidden gems. I also love traveling and catching live music whenever I can. 

Whether you’re a new guest or retuning I always strive for a good vibe and connection. I look forward to meeting you and making all your beauty goals happen!

Hi!! I’m Kylea. Since getting my cosmetology license back in 2015, I have gained a decade of experience as a stylist. I love all aspects of being in the industry but I specialize in blonding and extensions. My absolute favorite part about what I do is making you feel good about your hair.

Boosting your confidence with something as simple as a hair appointment is something I’ll forever be grateful for in this amazing career of mine. When I’m not behind the chair you can find me at concerts, watching anything sports related, or reading anything I can get my hands on. I enjoy short walks to the coffee shop and long pop culture conversations. So bring your best! I’m happy you’re part of this new chapter and I can’t wait to see you in my chair!

My name is Sydney Shaw, and I’m a Licensed Aesthetician and the founder of Verve Acne and Skin Clinic. I specialize in treating acne and hyperpigmentation, but I’m also passionate and well versed in treating all skin concerns. I approach skincare with a nurturing, judgment-free philosophy rooted in service, education, and results—not trends.

I created Verve because I’ve lived through the emotional toll of struggling with my own skin. Amber Vaillancourt, LMT

Amber Vaillancourt, LMT brings with her nearly a decade of experience in massage therapy, deeply rooted in her longtime fascination with human anatomy and personal triumph over multiple broken bones throughout her life. Her journey began in an unexpected way at age 14, when her curious mind led her to request surgery photos of her broken hand – a story Amber fondly recalls as the starting point of her passion for understanding the human body and its ability to heal itself.

Amber's approach to massage therapy is slow & smooth. She works with your nervous system and locates trigger points, or knots, gently & gradually sinking into deeper tissue and effectively releasing tension without overwhelming the nervous system. Specializing in myofascial restrictions, she excels in addressing everything from injuries to post surgery recovery to everyday stress and tension, helping clients retrain muscle memory and improve their overall well-being and quality of life.

Graduating from Lansing Community College's acclaimed 740-hour Therapeutic Massage Program in 2016 and maintaining her license through the State of Michigan, Amber is not only highly qualified but continues to expand her knowledge and expertise through ongoing education with the American Massage Therapy Association.

Her skills were recognized as one of the Top 5 Massage Therapists in the Lansing City Pulse ‘Top of the Town’ contest for three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020.

After honing her skills and building a dedicated client base at Brad’s Hair Studio in Grand Ledge and Culp Chiropractic in Portland, Amber has made a thoughtful transition to Honey Hair Co. This new environment will provide not only with a space that supports her professional growth but also the opportunity to explore and incorporate new healing modalities into her practice.

Outside of her professional life, Amber loves camping and exploring Michigan’s breathtaking landscapes with her loved ones. Her belief in the importance of work-life balance is a testament to her holistic approach to wellness, emphasizing the necessity of personal well-being in order to better serve and support others.

Hi I’m Karley,

I started tattooing back in 2015 but have always enjoyed drawing/art. Over the years I have learned that what I truly love about tattooing is bringing a piece to life for the client whether it be a meaningful piece or just a way to express themselves.

I specialize in fine line/floral but I enjoy many different styles of work and always up for a consultation to see if we can make your vision a reality! 

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, our two girls and small zoo of pets keep us on our toes and I love every minute of it.
